Rentals
Riverside Outfitters provides recreational equipment to families and thrill seekers alike. Their staff of recreational professionals can take beginners on guided raft, kayak or paddleboarding tours along the James, while also providing rental equipment to more experienced paddlers. RO also rents climbing gear, sells firewood, and runs summer camps for youths and teens.

Kayak Richmond specializes in class, guided trips and rentals along the James River. Whether its a trip or simple rental, Kayak Richmond provides all the equipment, enabling anyone and everyone to enjoy their time on the water. Although Walkabout does not rent
kayaking or biking equipment, the store has an extensive selection of camping/hiking gear and clothes for all sizes! With three stores around VA- Richmond, Harrisonburg, and Roanoke, and plans for another store in Lexington, Walkabout has been equipping outdoorsmen with the best gear since 2005. On top of selling equipment, Walkabout also leads local hikes at their Roanoke location. From time to time, the Ricmond location hosts outdoor events, which can be found here.
